I am located in Port Angeles, WA, but have remote training options available.

About me

Hey all! 


My name is Emily and I am the face behind Mountain Rise Coaching. 2020 was a rough year, but it pushed me to pursue one of my passions-  fitness and working with others to achieve their goals. This led me to get my Certification in Personal Training through NASM and begin a coaching business. My desire is to help people get past the hurdles that are keeping them from meeting their fitness goals. 


I have two autoimmune conditions that have caused me to adapt my own training programs regularly. I am an endurance athlete at heart and love long days running on the trails.  However, I can go a bit overboard when given the opportunity. I have learned (and continue to learn) how to adapt my training so I do not burn out and get injured.  I also rotate through rock climbing, paddle boarding, hiking, and skiing. Additionally- in order to prevent injury and help with my autoimmune flare ups-  weight training is vital to my fitness routine. 


In January 2022, I received my prenatal/postpartum exercise certification and am looking forward to working with clients in their pregnancy and postpartum journeys. 


Some other fun facts about me- 

  • I live with my husband, Paul; our crazy/sweet mutt, Stella;  our heeler/GSD puppy, Hank; and our new baby boy, Daniel Elias, who was born in mid-July. 
  • I grew up in Alaska, lived 9 years in Tacoma, WA; 2.5 years in Everett, WA; 8 months in the Tri-Cities; and now we are planting roots in Port Angeles, WA. 
  • My undergraduate degree is in Elementary Education with a specialization in Outreach Education (basically working with youth through non-profits) though I really only have had one job since graduating that aligned with my degree.
  • I currently work full-time with a non-profit called Atlas Free (formerly Rescue:Freedom) that works to accelerate and resource the fight against sexual exploitation and trafficking.
  • I LOVE to travel and go on adventures. International travel is my favorite, but I also love exploring the PNW via trail runs, climbing, backpacking, and hiking.
  • I am just getting into mountaineering and got to summit Glacier Peak with Paul and our friend summer of 2020. I am looking for to more glacier summits in the years to come!

Services and Prices

virtual coaching - written workouts

Written workouts to do on your own time and in your own space (home, gym, etc)

12 week bundle: 2-5 workouts/wk

$135+

Specialized workouts (2-5 per week) . Accountability and encouragement support throughout each week.  Can add on cardio for an additional cost per month. 

month To month- 3 per week

$85/month

 3 specialized workouts per week. Workouts based off of client's goals, equipment, and health needs.  Can add on cardio for an additional cost per month. 

Month to Month: 2 per week

$60/month

2 specialized workouts per week. Workouts based off of client's goals, equipment, and health needs. Can add on cardio for an additional cost per month.

3 months- 4+ workouts per week

$100/month

 At least 16 workouts per month written according to your personal goals.  This would be the ideal plan for someone wanting to incorporate endurance training on top of resistance training.


IN-PERSON FITNESS TRAINING

Garage gym available in East Port Angeles. Mileage costs added on if requesting in-home training 5+ miles away.

Initial assessment session

FREE

20 minute session dedicated to identify your goals and get to know what sort of program design will bring you the success .you are looking for.

Individual coaching session

$50

For those who don't want to commit to multiple workouts, but still want some motivation. I will plan a workout for us to do together. $75 for up to a 60 minute session. The first 20-30 minutes will focus on muscle and strength assessments.

one month bundle- 8 workouts

$180

Each workout will be tailored to your fitness goals. Eight sessions that will average to about 2 sessions per week. Each workout will be up to 60 minutes depending on your needs.

one month bundle- 12 workouts

$260

 Each workout will be tailored to your fitness goals. 12 sessions that will average to about 3 sessions per week. Each workout will be up to 60 minutes depending on your needs. 


additional coaching options

Cardio/endurance training

$100

If you are wanting to build up your cardio and endurance then this option is for you. $100 for a 12-week written plan. Additional costs if you want me to join in-person for any sessions.

goal setting/ building a routine

$40

Not ready for a workout plan but want some coaching writing down goals and building a routine?  Let's take some time to sit down and dive into your goals. We will identify road blocks and you will leave with a plan for how to take some active steps forward.

Customizeable coaching

Want a variation of the above services. Reach out and we can see whether we can make something work. 

Depending on financial situations I am willing to discuss payment options. I do not want cost to be a barrier to you achieving your goals.
